ChanSort is a Sashes feature that allows you to reorder your TV’s medium list. Most modern TVs can transfer channel lists via USB stave, which you has potential to plug upon entering your PC. ChanSort supports various file systems linked to Philips (new), Sony (new), ITT, Medion, Nabo, ok., PEAQ, Schaub-Lorenz, Silva-Schneider, Telefunken (new), Hisense, Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Toshiba and the Linux VDR project.

Features

• Reorder channels (change percentages instantly, move up/down, drag&drop, double-click).
• Use another track list as a reference to apply the same ordering.
• Multi-selection for editing multiple channels over once.
• Side-by-side view involving new/sorted list and original/complete list (similar to playlist and library).
• Rename or delete channels.
• Manage favorites, parental lock, channel skipping (when zapping), channel hiding.
• User interface beneath English, German not to mention partially in Turkish and Portuguese.
• Unicode distinctiveness support for channel names (Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, …).

Some features may not be disposable on all TUBE models and channel ranges (analog, digital, sat, cable, …)

Most of this software manifested written without support from TV manufacturers or access to any formalized documentation about the report formats. That is solely based on analysing persistent evidence files, trial and error. At this location is a chance of unwanted side-effects or specifically damage to your TV, as reported in 2 cases.

Hisense is the only manufacturer whereby provided technical information and a test device.

System requirements

• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 (Full): presented in Win8, required for Win7, View along with XP SP3.
• Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Offer (x86): required to edit SQLite lists (Hisense, Panasonic, Toshiba and Honor .zip format).
• USB stick/SD-card with the aim of transfer the channel list between your TV and INFORMATION SYSTEM (FAT32 file system recommended).
• Some LG models require a special work remote control to contact the import/export functions (see Wiki for details).

*: All “clone.bin” format operates not supported. In the “*.scm” format the “Air Analog”-list of the 2009 B-series doesn’t support collective editing features due to this lack of checkup files. If you have such a file, please send it to me.

Series: CS, DM, LA, LB*, UNTOLD, LE, LEAF, LH, LK, LM+, LN, LP#, LS, LT, LV, LW, LX, PM, PN, PT, UB*and all newer patterns putting to use the GlobalClone.TLL formatLists: Matching TV, DTV (DVB-C, DVB-T), Radio (DVB-C/T), Sat-DTV (DVB-S2), Sat-Radio (DVB-S2)

*: Several kinds of devices behave erroneously as a result of by firmware issues.+: See system requirements in support of LM-series. xxLM640T shows not reinforced due to its platform code limitations.#: Only satellite channels supported.

Panasonic

Viera models with an svl.bin or svl.db channel catalog (most models since 2011)

Sony

Android-TVs “sdb.xml” files using formats “FormateVer” 1.1.0 and KDL 2012/2014 files using “FormatVer” 1.0.0, 1.1.0 and 1.2.0

Toshiba

Models these ones export a .zip database containing chmgt.db, dvbSysData.db and dvbMainData.db files.(e.g. RELEVANT, SL, TL, DECK, VL, WL, XL, YL models of series 8xx/9xx)

ITT, Medion, Nabo, ok., PEAQ, Schaub-Lorenz, Silva-Schneider, Telefunken

These brands use .sdx files (currently only interplanetary vehicle lists are supported)

Philips

Philips takes advantage of countless incompatible text formats for a selection of TV archetypes. ChanSort currently funds 2 different versions of .xml files, other types stay not supported.

VDR (Linux Video Disk Recorder)

Supports the channels.conf file format.Implementation for this was provided over TCr82 from the VDR project.
