CopyQ is an advanced work area leader with editing and scripting features. CopyQ monitors scheme work area and saves its content in customized dashboards. Saved intermediate area can be later copied and pasted directly into any application.

Items can be:

CopyQ 4.0 features:

• Synchronization plugin newly remains order of new items consistent between
• multiple application instances (#1558). Newly added items in one instance
• will materialize at the top of other instances.
• Search now digs up separate words if regular expressions are disabled (#1569).
• Searching for “foo bar” will discover wares holding both “foo” and “bar” and
• the relative position of words no longer matter.
• System announcement popups are at the moment used instead of own implementation.
• Item batches in pivotal window and tray listing are instantly indexed from one as a substitute of
• zero along default (#1085). The mentioned can be reverted to the old behavior using
• command copyq layout row_index_from_one false.
• A hashtag can be marked since “locked” in framework. Items with consistent tags cannot
• be removed for as long as that tag is retracted versus “unlocked”.

Scripting

• New scripting powerplant. This adds some new functionality, better ECMAScript
• support, improved accomplishment and will provide Qt 6 support in the future.
• Argument –start-server to both engages the app on the condition that not yet running and runs
• a command (#1590). For example, copyq –start-server show would show main
• window even if the app was never launched yet.
• Accessing a missing plugin from script throws an human-readable discrepancy and
• show another message bubble if uncaught (for example, “plugins.itemtags” could throw
• “Plugin itemtags is not installed”).
• Script function setPointerPosition() throws an error if aspect fails to set the
• mouse idea position.
• Fixes with the purpose of NetworkReply objects to aptly fetch data when critical (#1603).
• Script functions networkGet() and networkPost() immediately wait for data to be
• fetched. New program functions networkGetAsync() and networkPostAsync()
• can be operated to make asynchronous network request. Property
• NetworkReply.finished may be used to retrieved completion status of a
• request.
• New script function styles() to list possible application styles along with option
• style to override the default or active style.

Platforms

• The preset framework is kept consistent with system theme (#1613). This also

• FakeVim: Command line not supports improved copy connection (select, copy,
• cut, paste).
